CHALLENGES:
– To create a cohesive set of visuals from photo assets that spanned over many decades, in different resolutions, physical conditions and styles
– To create a ‘Songs of the Games’ brandmark to encapsulate the concept that many artists are brought together to produce songs in the spirit of the games, in their own special way
SOLUTIONS:
– Made all the photos monotone to reduce the issue of colour variations
– Highlighted one key movement in the image and in so doing, drew the eye to the story for that visual
– Created individual colour bands to represent individual song messages reflecting the essence of the games’ spirit
– The colour bands are then placed together to form the brandmark
